North West Regional College, Limavady.
The Limavady campus is situated along the Main Street in Limavady and features the Binevenagh Building, a state of the art building encompassing the Hair & Beauty Academy, Sports & Fitness Testing Laboratory, Early years Suite, Health Science Laboratory and IT/Media suites. A further building project was also completed to enhance and add to the west wing Art & Design workshops and studios.
As Landscape Architects for the project, it was important to enhance the external environment to complement the new facilities and update and modernise the main approach to the campus, providing attractive amenity and informal sitting areas for students and visitors.

The original Cregagh Primary School building complex had been crumbling from concrete cancer for years. With half of the building closed, floors flooded, unusable toilet facilities, walls and ceilings cracked and a dining hall heated by three small fan heaters, it was necessary to provide a new school building, community centre and associated external play and amenity areas.
Our aim was to provide a welcoming approach to the new school and create opportunities to develop various 'gardens' where planting would have an emphasis on native and sensory species to act as an educational tool and increase the natural habitat potential of the site.
A feature shelter with clock tower and adjoining pergola was designed providing both an attractive focal assembly point and covered waiting area for parents or guardians of children attending the school.
