We are thrilled to announce that the new Queen’s Business School Student Hub in Belfast has been awarded Northern Ireland’s Building of the Year 2025, receiving the prestigious Liam McCormick Prize from the Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA). Designed by the talented team at Todd Architects, this landmark project is located beside the historic Riddel Hall on the Stranmillis Road. It was one of five projects to receive an RSUA Design Award 2025, placing it in the running for a UK-wide RIBA Award for Architecture.
At McIlwaine Landscape Architects, we are proud to have contributed to this outstanding project. Our landscape architecture team was honoured with a ‘Highly Commended’ award in the Built Projects – Educational Landscapes category at the Irish Landscape Institute (ILI) Awards 2024. This recognition reflects our commitment to excellence in sustainable landscape design for educational environments.
We collaborated closely with Todd Architects, as well as the wider design team including WSP, Gravis Planning, and AH Design. The Management School was expertly constructed by Felix O’Hare, with landscape works delivered to the highest standard by Cameron Landscapes.
